Managing Director

Mr. K. J. Patel is a highly accomplished mechanical engineer with over three decades of specialized experience in the maintenance and operation of Nitrogenous and Phosphatic fertiliser plants. An engineering graduate from Saurashtra University, Gujarat, he assumed charge as Managing Director of IFFCO on 1st August 2025. He began his career at IFFCO’s Kalol Unit, where he served in various technical and leadership roles for 23 years. In 2012, he moved to the Paradeep Unit and was later elevated as Unit Head in March 2019. His tenure has been marked by significant improvements in plant reliability, efficiency, and technology adoption. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Director (Technical) at IFFCO Head Office, overseeing technical operations across all units. He is known for his strong domain expertise, strategic leadership, and hands-on approach to operational excellence. Mr. Patel has also represented IFFCO at several national and international forums, presenting papers and sharing insights on advanced maintenance technologies. His contributions have been instrumental in shaping IFFCO’s technical roadmap and performance standards.

Joint Managing Director

Mr Rakesh Kapur holds the position of Joint Managing Director, IFFCO. With B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT- Delhi, Mr Kapur is an ex- Indian Revenue Service Officer who joined IFFCO in the year 2000. He has held senior assignments in GOI, which included Joint Secretary (Commercial), Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI); Director in the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers; Additional Assessor & Collector, MCD apart from various postings in the Income Tax Department. Associated with the fertilizer sector for the last 32 years. Held positions of the Chairman, International Fertilizer Association (IFA), Paris (2017-19); and the Chairman, Fertilizer Association of India (FAI) (2015-17). Member on the Board of Directors of several Indian and Overseas Companies. Currently also the Chairman, IFFCO TOKIO General Insurance Co Ltd.

Director - (Strategy & Joint Ventures)

Mr. Gupta serves as the Director of Strategy and Joint Ventures and has been instrumental in the diversification and restructuring of the business of IFFCO and its subsidiary companies. Prior to joining IFFCO, Mr. Gupta served as an IRS officer in the Govt. of India. He has served on the Boards of various Government, Private and Cooperative sector organisations. He received his Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from IIT Delhi, his MBA from IIM Calcutta and LLB from Pune University.

Director - (Marketing)

Mr. Yogendra Kumar holds the position of Marketing Director of IFFCO. He is responsible for planning & distribution of indigenous/imported fertiliser and sale through a vast network of Cooperative Societies spanning almost entire country. He has been instrumental in the expansion of product portfolio of IFFCO. Besides IFFCO, Mr. Kumar also serves on the board of IFFCO eBazar Ltd., IFFDC, IFFCO-MC Crop Science Pvt. Ltd., CORDET etc. Widely travelled, Mr. Kumar has written many articles on agriculture and is a strong proponent of cooperative development and socio-economic upliftment of Indian farmers.

Director (Corporate Services)

Mr. Birinder Singh is presently working as Director (Corporate Services) at IFFCO’s corporate office in Delhi. He is responsible for identification and setting up of new projects, carrying out pre-project activities, analyzing fertiliser policy impact on society profitability and other corporate services. He is also holding the responsibility of setting up of Nano Fertiliser plants at Kalol and other locations. Mr.Singh has spent more than four decades of his service at IFFCO heading various critical assignments at different locations in India and abroad. He is a seasoned technocrat and is also a regular speaker at various fertilizer industry events and seminars.

Director (IT Services)

Mr. A.K. Gupta holds the position of Director (IT Services) and heads the IT & e-commerce division in IFFCO at its Corporate Office, New Delhi. An electrical engineering graduate from NIT, Kurukshetra, Mr.Gupta has been instrumental in leveraging Information Technology for improving the productivity & profitability of the organisation by optimizing the business processes. Widely travelled, he has addressed numerous prestigious IT Seminars across the globe also won many national and international IT awards for IFFCO.

Director (Technical)

Mr. Arun Kumar Sharma holds the position of Director (Technical) at IFFCO's Head Office in New Delhi. He was the head of complex fertilisers production unit of IFFCO at Kandla, Gujarat prior to his elevation as Director (Technical). Mr. Sharma is a Chemical Engineering graduate and also holds an MBA degree. He started his career with IFFCO as a Graduate Engineer and has been working for the organization for more than three decades. He has varied experience and expertise in projects, plant commissioning and operations of IFFCO's Kandla plant. Prior to his elevation as plant head, Mr. Sharma has held several key positions as Head of Production and Technical Departments at Kandla unit. He has also rendered his expertise in IFFCO's Jordan based joint venture - JIFCO for technical study and modifications in DAP plant after which the plant is operating at full capacity with high efficiency. He has made Technical Paper Presentation at IFA and FAI conferences on improving productivity of DAP/NPK plants. He has widely travelled overseas in connection with various projects of IFFCO.

Sr. Executive Director (Finance & Accounts)

Mr. Devender Kumar is presently working as Sr. Executive Director (Finance & Accounts) and looking after the finance functions of IFFCO. Mr. Kumar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He joined IFFCO in the year 1987 and has held various key positions related to Corporate Budgeting, Corporate Accounting, Working Capital Management and Audit during his 35 year stint with IFFCO. Mr.Kumar has attended various programs on Finance and General Management in India and abroad and is an active member on the Board and Committees of various subsidiaries of IFFCO in India and abroad.

Sr. Executive Director (Transportation)

Mr Kallingal is presently working as Sr. Executive Director (Transportation) and is taking care of the inland logistics of IFFCO, including rail & road transportation, rake handling, storage operations, coastal & inland river movement of Fertilisers. Mr. Kallingal holds a B.Tech Degree in Electrical Engg from GECT, Calicut University. He commenced his career as GET at IFFCO Phulpur in January, 1986. Thereafter he served IFFCO in different capacities at Head Office & Marketing Division. He headed the Marketing Operations of IFFCO at Kerala as SMM for six years and later for a brief period at Rajasthan. He has considerable experience in the fields of Plant Maintenance, grass root level fertiliser marketing, contracting procedure, shipping, port operations, warehousing, logistics & transportation of fertilizers. He was involved in IFFCO’s pioneering step of Coastal movement, as an alternative transport mode for the Fertiliser Industry.

Executive Director

Mr. Sandeep Ghosh is a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Jadavpur. He joined IFFCO Kalol Unit as a graduate engineer in 1988.His experience spans 36 years, from production management, project conception to commissioning of Ammonia & Urea plants at IFFCO Kalol. He has held several key positions at IFFCO in the past which includes his stint as Project Head of NFP-II project and Unit Head of Nano Fertiliser Plant at Kalol. Currently, he holds the position of Executive Director and heads the Kalol Unit.

Sr. General Manager

Senior General Manager Shri Satyajit Pradhan is currently the head of IFFCO Aonla unit. During his vast experience of 35 years in Aonla Unit Plant, Engineer Mr. Satyajeet Pradhan has executed various work projects in Oman (OMIFCO) Plant from 20th September 2004 to 21st October 2006. Engineer Satyajit Pradhan, who started his career as Graduate Engineer Trainee on 28th November 1989, is a professional and experienced Chemical Engineer.

Sr. General Manager

Shri P.K. Mahapatra currently holds the position of Unit Head of IFFCO Paradeep Unit. A Mechanical Engineer from the 1989 batch of REC Rourkela, he has over 32 years of experience in project management across various industries. Before joining IFFCO in 2007, he worked with JK Group of Industries, Reliance Group, Oswal Chemicals and Fertilisers Ltd., and TATA. He has deep expertise in equipment, plant operations, and process management, along with strong leadership and business acumen. Mr. Mahapatra has presented numerous technical papers at industry conferences. At IFFCO, he has served as the Technical Head from March,2019 and became Plant Head in October 2024. Under his leadership, the IFFCO Paradeep Unit has successfully implemented key projects, enhancing productivity, safety, environmental sustainability, and energy efficiency.

General Manager

Mr. Anirudha Vikram Singh, General Manager, heads the Complex Fertilizers Production Unit of IFFCO at Kandla, Gujarat. A Mechanical Engineering graduate, he began his career with IFFCO as a Graduate Engineer and has been with the organization for around three decades. Mr. Singh brings extensive expertise in projects, plant commissioning, and maintenance of complex fertilizer facilities. Prior to his current role, he served as Head of Plant Maintenance, leading major projects and equipment revamps that significantly enhanced plant performance. He has also contributed as an external expert to other organizations.

General Manager

Mr. P K Singh, General Manager, currently holds the position of Unit Head of IFFCO Phulpur Unit. He joined IFFCO as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in November 1995 as a Mechanical Engineer. Since then, he has worked in different capacities at Phulpur Unit and OMIFCO. He has experience of around three decades in Plant Maintenance, Project Execution & Commissioning, Capacity Enhancement Projects and Energy Saving Projects that include various equipment revamps.

Shri P.K. Singh, General Manager, presently serves as Unit Head of IFFCO Phulpur Unit. He started his service at IFFCO in November 1995 as a Graduate Engineer Trainee as a Mechanical Engineer. Since then, he has held various positions in the Phulpur unit and OMIFCO. He has nearly three decades of experience, including plant maintenance, project execution and commissioning, capacity augmentation projects and energy conservation projects, including revamping of various equipment.
